A really lovely simple salad that works great as a starter, particularly before a heavy main course.
The husband enjoyed this one so much he’s mentioned he’d like it as a mid-week meal with some crusty bread.
Ingredients
- 1 x bag of crunchy salad
- A handful of walnut pieces/halves
- Four – six slices of parma ham
- A few shavings of pecorino
- Olive oil
- Mustard dressing
Preparation
Split the salad between two bowls, add the walnuts and pecorino shavings. Pan-fry the parma ham in a tiny bit of olive oil and add to salad. Make your own mustard dressing or cheat and use a shop-bought one. I cheated. Drizzle dressing over salad and serve.
